I am a full time, self taught professional artist based in the picturesque village of Frisby on the Wreake, Leicestershire.

My artwork can be found displayed as original paintings, prints and over the past few years in books as an author for Search Press.

I regularly write articles and product reviews for the Leisure Painter magazine, as well as being one of their Editorial Consultants. I also produce instructional painting videos for the Painters Online website.

My painting method usually involves an ink drawing as the first part of the process. This can be pen, pencil or even acrylic ink applied with a matchstick as a springboard to a painting which could then be watercolour, acrylic or pastel.

I recommend sketching as much as possible to develop an eye for the subject and over the years have developed a rapid sketching technique, ideal for capturing the moment. Especially useful when tutoring residential painting courses in North Norfolk.
