I was born in Poland but educated in both French and English schools. During my teens in London, I won many awards for Artwork. Completing a National Diploma Course at Hammersmith College, I
specialised in Mural Design. After moving to Rutland in the 1970s, I became involved with the newly
forming Stamford Arts Centre, and co-chaired the restoration of Stamford Theatre. Current member
and Past President of the Welland Valley Art Society, I now paint full time, give tuition in Life Drawing
and exhibit regularly in the surrounding area. I have exhibited in London and Paris as well as in Italy.
I work mainly in oils and pastels, usually painting from nature in the lovely Rutland countryside.
If the weather does not allow al fresco work, I enjoy painting portraits and still life compositions in my studio.
Colour is my main fascination. I prefer not to paint from photos, though occasionally will accept a commission
based on a photo, if no ‘live’ opportunity is available.
I am a published member of the Society of Civil and Public Service Writers (Poetry).
My autobiography (First two decades of life): “A Displaced Person” is available on Amazon.
